1994-2000 Managing Director of the Interdisciplinary „Centre of Environmental Sciences and Sustainable Technologies ( UFT), founded 1994 at University of Bremen.
2001- 2006 Leader of a transdisciplinary team at UFT (chemists,biologists,engineers): “Design and Development of Sustainable Ionic Liquids” in cooperation with Merck, Darmstadt
Since 2006 Professor emeritus and consultant, Department of Sustainable Chemistry, UFT.
